This site was born from the experiences I faced as a new teacher in the Texas public-school system. I was completely unprepared for the academic misconduct I witnessed. Like many, I had a choice. Go along and collect my paycheck; or resist, and fight against a system that placed academic integrity at the bottom of its list of priorities. I was shocked by the organized and powerful resistance I encountered at both the local level and the state level. Nevertheless, I did not walk away. It is my hope that educators for academic integrity will be a resource that encourages, motivates, and inspires educators to remain steadfast in their commitment to academic integrity.
We, at educators4academicintegrity.org, invite and encourage you to share your story with us; whether you wish to reveal your identity or remain anonymous is completely up to you. Regardless, we want to hear from you and we will work to provide outlets for your voice. It is our hope that educator4academicintegrity.org will provide another conduit through which we can inform the public of the academic misconduct that is taking place across the country.
